Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anyone that must be safely managed through detox services when heavily addicted to alcohol and drugs, or who wants a broader spectrum of care such as someone who has a dual diagnosis and also needs mental health services during their rehabilitation procedure. There are both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services offered.

Seniors/Older Adults

Seniors and older adults who struggle with drug use may have distinctive obstacles they have to overcome whilst in rehab, which rehabilitation professionals in the center they elect to take part in must be keen of to ensure a full recovery may be possible. So for seniors and older adults, it is prudent to decide on a program that is used to helping seniors and older adults deal with the distinctive life and drug abuse issues that these clients face that might include a wider spectrum of solutions including health care and the like.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be prone to alcoholism and drug abuse due to the problems their impairment impose on them. While detection of the problem can be hard among the hearing impaired, there are ASL as well as other assistance services readily available for them when substance abuse treatment is necessary. Besides ASL, such services might include assistive listening tools and captioned video materials so that deaf and hearing impaired folks are receiving the support they need in drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Certain rehab centers will take Medicaid in the event the individual cannot self pay or present another kind of private medical insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term treatment within a limited amount of facilities, and in cases like this individuals may wish to investigate the self pay option and come up with up any resources they can to pay for a more quality rehab facility that will get better results, say for example a long-term residential alcohol and drug treatment facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive treatment at drug treatment centers which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment when the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the authorization of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help in establishing the person's rehabilitation strategy. Inpatient services are covered through Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being similar to any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the costs of drug and alcohol rehab if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't a choice. If a person doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they may qualify for state insurance, they can consult their Social Services office within their area to ascertain if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but usually only in the state which offers the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health insurance plans typically cover some form of alcohol and drug rehab service which range from outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol treatment programs. Individuals may have to take part in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center that's within their network of providers and there could be other limitations for example how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can choose an excellent facility they prefer and speak with a rehabilitation specialist to ascertain if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the expenses of certain substance abuse rehabilitation services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient programs along with partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization and in that case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There might be some restrictions as to how long a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol treatment is allowed, and all of these questions will be answered before you begin rehab so that it's clear the length of time and individual can remain in the treatment facility of choice.
