Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the lower end of the spectrum of treatment services in terms of intensity of care, because the individual will be able to preserve their lifestyle in lots of ways with no commitment of having to remain in a rehab facility while undergoing rehab services. Even if this may seem ideal it may not provide the required change of surroundings than many people in recovery require to experience a successful rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when someone's insurance isn't going to pay for the entire cost of treatment or will only cover part of it. In these instances, it may seem like a drawback but people actually have a much more leverage due to the fact they can select whichever facility they want without the restrictions from health insurers that so many men and women encounter. Likewise, rehab centers will usually offer payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Certain treatment programs accept Medicaid when the individual is unable to self pay or present any other kind of private health care insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term rehab within a limited amount of centers, and in this case individuals may want to investigate the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they can to cover a more quality rehab program which will produce better results, say for example a long-term residential drug and alcohol treatment center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehab if the program is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help in establishing the person's rehab plan. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being similar to any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Part B.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health care insurance plans generally cover some form of drug and alcohol rehab service ranging from outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab facilities. Individuals could have to take part in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center that's in their network of providers and there could be other limitations such as how long their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can select an excellent program they prefer and meet with a treatment counselor to determine if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the expense of certain substance abuse treatment services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient centers and also partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There might be some restrictions concerning the length of time a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol rehab is allowed, and all of these questions can be answered before beginning treatment so that it's clear how long and individual can stay in the treatment center of choice.
