Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anybody that should be safely managed through detox services when intensely addicted to drugs, or who needs a broader spectrum of care such as someone who has a dual diagnosis so also needs mental health solutions during their rehab procedure. You will find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services available.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when someone's insurance won't pay for the total cost of rehab or will only pay for some of it. In these cases, it may seem like a drawback but individuals in fact have a great deal of leverage simply because they can decide on whichever facility they want without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many people encounter. In addition, rehab facilities will usually provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Certain treatment programs accept Medicaid if the individual is not able to self pay or present any other kind of private medical health insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term rehabilitation within a limited amount of facilities, and in such cases individuals may want to explore the self pay option and come up with up any resources they can to pay for a more quality rehab center that will get better results, say for example a long-term residential drug and alcohol treatment facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek treatment at drug treatment facilities which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation if the center is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must assist in establishing the person's rehab plan. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being just like any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the expense of drug and alcohol rehab if other kinds of insurance or self payment aren't an option. If a person has no private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they might qualify for state insurance, they can talk with their Social Services office within their area to determine if they are and then apply. The majority of state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but usually only inside the state which provides the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans typically cover some sort of drug treatment service which range from outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug treatment facilities. Individuals could possibly have to participate in an alcohol and drug treatment center that is within their network of providers and there could be other restrictions for example just how long their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can pick an excellent facility they prefer and meet with a rehab specialist to determine if their insurance covers it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the costs of certain drug abuse treatment services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient centers and also partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There could be some restrictions about just how long a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug treatment is allowed, and all of these questions will be answered before you start rehab so that it is clear how long and individual can stay in the treatment facility of choice.
