Partial Hospitalization/Day Treatment

Partial hospitalization, or Day Treatment as it's occasionally referred to as, is a type of drug and alcohol rehab program meant for those who need and require a comprehensive and structured treatment strategy and atmosphere yet don't require night and day supervision. It can help make people in treatment continue to be supported rehabilitation course of action without disturbing other activities they might need to maintain while in treatment. Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is also an option for individuals who have completed an inpatient or residential program and want assistance with the smooth transition back into a normal drug-free way of life.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be predisposed to alcoholism and substance abuse due to challenges their impairment impose on them. While discovery of the problem can be hard among the hearing impaired, you will find ASL and other assistance services intended for them when substance abuse rehabilitation is needed. Apart from ASL, such services may include assistive listening tools and captioned video materials so that deaf and hearing impaired people are obtaining the help they require in drug treatment.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when someone's insurance won't pay for the total cost of rehab or will only pay for part of it. In these cases, it may seem like a disadvantage but individuals really have a great deal of leverage due to the fact they can select whichever program they want without the limitations from health insurance providers that so many individuals encounter. Likewise, rehabilitation programs will often offer payment assistance for people whose only choice is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Some rehabilitation facilities will take Medicaid in the event the individual is unable to self pay or present some other kind of private health care insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term rehabilitation in a limited amount of programs, and in such cases individuals might want to explore the self pay option and drum up any resources they can to cover a more quality rehab facility that will get better results, like a long-term residential drug treatment center.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the costs of drug and alcohol rehab if other forms of insurance or self payment are not an option. If a person has no private insurance and doesn't yet know if they could be eligible for state insurance, they should consult their Social Services office within their area to ascertain if they are and then apply. The majority of state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but typically only within the state which offers the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health insurance plans typically cover some form of drug rehabilitation service which range from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug rehab programs. Individuals might have to take part in an alcohol and drug rehab facility that's in their network of providers and there might be other restrictions including the length of time their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can choose a good program they like and consult with a rehabilitation specialist to find out if their insurance will handle it.
