Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the bottom end of the spectrum of rehab solutions in terms of intensity of care, for the reason that individual will be able to maintain their lifestyle in lots of ways without the commitment of having to stay in a rehabilitation program while receiving rehabilitation services. While this may seem perfect it will not provide the required change of atmosphere than lots of people in rehab have to have to have a successful rehab.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be predisposed to alcoholism and drug and alcohol use as a result of problems their impairment impose on them. While detection of the problem is often hard among the hearing impaired, you will find ASL and other assistance services designed for them when drug abuse rehabilitation is needed. Besides ASL, such services can sometimes include assistive listening tools and captioned video materials to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are receiving the help they require in alcohol and drug treatment.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when someone's insurance isn't going to pay for the entire cost of rehabilitation or will only cover part of it. In these cases, it may seem like a drawback but individuals really have a much more leverage simply because they can choose whichever center they want without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many individuals encounter. Likewise, rehabilitation facilities will often provide payment assistance for people whose only choice is self payment to enable them to get into rehab.

Medicaid

Some treatment programs will take Medicaid in the event the individual is not able to self pay or present another type of private medical insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term rehab within a limited amount of programs, and in this case individuals may choose to explore the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they can to cover a more quality rehab program which will produce better results, like a long-term residential alcohol and drug treatment facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehabilitation at drug rehabilitation programs which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation if the program is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must aid in establishing the individual's rehabilitation plan. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being just like any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of drug treatment if other forms of insurance or self payment are not an option. When someone doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they may qualify for state insurance, they should seek advice from their Social Services office in their area to determine if they are and then fill out an application. Most state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but usually only in the state which provides the insurance.

Sliding Fee Scale

A sliding fee scale is a payment assistance option made available from numerous drug and alcohol treatment facilities in an effort to help clients afford rehabilitation where this may not have been doable originally. For example, one client's price for rehabilitation might be different and another person whose finances are better making them better able to spend the money for full expense of treatment. Registrars consider other factors in addition to income including number of dependents to ascertain the ultimate cost using the sliding scale.
