Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the bottom end of the spectrum of rehabilitation services regarding level of care, as the individual is able to maintain their lifestyle in several ways without the commitment of having to be in a rehabilitation program while undergoing treatment services. Even though this may seem ideal it might not provide the required change of environment than a lot of people in recovery require to experience a productive rehabilitation.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often predisposed to alcoholism and drug abuse due to the challenges their impairment impose on them. While detection of this problem can sometimes be hard among the hearing impaired, there are ASL and also other assistance services designed for them when substance abuse rehabilitation is required. Apart from ASL, such services can include assistive listening equipment and captioned video materials so that deaf and hearing impaired people are receiving the help they require in drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when a person's insurance won't cover the entire cost of treatment or will only cover some of it. In these instances, it may appear like a drawback but individuals actually have a great deal of leverage because they can decide on whichever facility they would like without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many men and women encounter. In addition, treatment programs will usually provide payment assistance for people whose only option is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Some rehabilitation programs will take Medicaid in the event the individual is not able to self pay or present another form of private health insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term rehabilitation within a limited amount of centers, and in this case individuals might want to investigate the self pay option and come up with up any resources they are able to to fund a more quality rehab facility that will get better results, such as a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehab at drug treatment centers which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation when the facility is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed physician, who must assist in establishing the individual's rehabilitation plan. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being covered through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the costs of alcohol and drug rehabilitation if other kinds of insurance or self payment aren't a choice. When someone doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know if they might be eligible for state insurance, they should talk with their Social Services office within their area to figure out if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but generally only inside the state which provides the insurance.

Sliding Fee Scale

A sliding fee scale can be a payment assistance option offered by numerous drug treatment centers in order to help individuals pay for treatment where this may not have been possible initially. By way of example, one client's price for rehab may be different and less than another person whose financial situation is better making them better able to spend the money for full expense of rehab. Registrars take into account additional circumstances apart from income including amount of dependents to ascertain the ultimate cost and using the sliding scale.
