Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anybody who must be safely managed through detoxification services when intensely addicted to drugs, or who requires a broader spectrum of care such as somebody who has a dual diagnosis and also needs mental health solutions during their rehab process. You will find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services available.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be predisposed to alcoholism and drug abuse due to problems their impairment impose on them. While discovery of this problem is often hard among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL as well as other assistance services readily available for them when substance abuse rehab is necessary. Besides ASL, such services might include assistive listening equipment and captioned video materials so that deaf and hearing impaired people are getting the support they need in alcohol and drug rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance won't pay for the entire cost of treatment or will only pay for some of it. In these instances, it may appear like a drawback but individuals actually have a great deal of leverage simply because they can select whichever facility they would like without the limitations from health insurance providers that so many men and women face. In addition, treatment programs will usually offer payment assistance for people whose only choice is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Some rehabilitation programs will take Medicaid when the individual is unable to self pay or present any other kind of private health care insurance. Medicaid might pay for outpatient and short-term rehabilitation in a limited amount of facilities, and in cases like this individuals may wish to explore the self pay option and come up with up any resources they can to cover a more quality rehabilitation facility which will produce better results, such as a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at drug and alcohol rehab programs which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehab when the center is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help in establishing the person's rehab strategy. Inpatient services are covered through Medicare Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being similar to any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the costs of drug and alcohol rehabilitation if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not a choice. If a person doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they could qualify for state insurance, they should seek advice from their Social Services office within their area to figure out if they are and then apply. The majority of state financed insurance will take care of both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but usually only inside the state which provides the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health insurance plans generally cover some type of alcohol and drug rehabilitation service which range from outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab programs. Individuals may have to take part in a drug treatment program that's inside their network of providers and there can be other limitations including how long their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can pick an excellent program they like and speak with a treatment counselor to find out if their insurance will take care of it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the costs of certain drug abuse rehab services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient centers along with partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization and in that case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There may be some restrictions regarding how much time a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol treatment is allowed, and all of these questions can be answered before you begin rehab so that it is clear how long and individual can stay in the treatment program of choice.
