Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anybody who needs to be safely managed through detoxification services when seriously dependent to drugs and/or alcohol, or who wants a better spectrum of care such as someone who has a dual diagnosis and also requires mental health services during their rehab procedure. You'll find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services available.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often predisposed to alcoholism and drug abuse due to the problems their impairment impose on them. While detection of the problem can be hard among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL as well as other assistance services intended for them when substance abuse rehab is needed. Apart from ASL, such services might include assistive listening equipment and captioned video resources so that deaf and hearing impaired people are receiving the help they need in alcohol and drug treatment.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when someone's insurance isn't going to pay for the entire cost of rehab or will only cover part of it. In these situations, it may appear like a disadvantage but individuals actually have a much more leverage due to the fact they can choose whichever program they want without the limitations from health insurance companies that so many people face. In addition, rehab centers will usually provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into rehab.

Medicaid

Certain rehabilitation facilities will take Medicaid when the individual is unable to self pay or present some other type of private health insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term rehab inside a limited amount of programs, and in such cases individuals may want to explore the self pay option and come up with up any resources they are able to to cover a more quality treatment center which will produce better results, such as a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehab facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive treatment at alcohol and drug treatment facilities which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment when the program is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed physician, who must aid in setting up the person's rehab strategy. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being exactly like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being covered through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of alcohol and drug treatment if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't a choice. When someone has no private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they might qualify for state insurance, they should check with their Social Services office in their area to determine if they are and then apply. The majority of state financed insurance will take care of both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but usually only in the state which provides the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health care insurance plans typically cover some kind of drug rehab service including outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs. Individuals may have to participate in an alcohol and drug treatment facility that is inside their network of providers and there may be other limitations for example the amount of time their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can choose an excellent program they prefer and consult with a rehab specialist to find out if their insurance will handle it.
