Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the bottom end of the spectrum of rehabilitation services in terms of intensity of care, as the individual is able to maintain their lifestyle in several ways with no commitment of needing to remain in a rehabilitation facility while undergoing rehab services. Even though this may seem ideal it may not provide the much needed change of environment than a lot of people in rehabilitation require to experience a productive rehab.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often predisposed to alcoholism and drug and alcohol use as a result of challenges their impairment impose on them. While discovery of this problem can be difficult among the hearing impaired, you will find ASL as well as other assistance services designed for them when drug abuse rehabilitation is needed. Besides ASL, such services can include assistive listening equipment and captioned video materials so that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are receiving the help they need in drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Spanish

Not all drug and alcohol rehab facilities have the staff or resources to cater to the needs of Spanish speaking clientele, but luckily there are more and more facilities that can do so because the need for Spanish services is higher than ever before. Counselling, study information and the like are now frequently obtainable in Spanish in both long and short terms facilities which deliver inpatient or residential rehab and outpatient Spanish rehabilitation is available too nationwide.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when someone's insurance isn't going to pay for the total cost of rehabilitation or will only pay for some of it. In these instances, it may appear like a disadvantage but people in fact have a much more leverage simply because they can choose whichever facility they want without the limitations from health insurers that so many men and women encounter. In addition, treatment centers will often provide payment assistance for people whose only choice is self payment to help them get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Some rehab centers accept Medicaid if the individual cannot self pay or present another form of private medical insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term rehabilitation in a limited amount of centers, and in this case individuals may want to explore the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they're able to to fund a more quality rehab center that will get better results, like a long-term residential alcohol and drug treatment program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek treatment at alcohol and drug treatment programs which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation when the center is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help in setting up the person's rehab strategy. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being the same as any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of drug and alcohol treatment if other kinds of insurance or self payment aren't a choice. If a person doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know if they could qualify for state insurance, they should consult their Social Services office in their area to figure out if they are and then fill out an application. The majority of state financed insurance will take care of both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but typically only within the state which offers the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans generally cover some kind of alcohol and drug treatment service including outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug treatment programs. Individuals could have to take part in an alcohol and drug rehab center that is in their network of providers and there may be other limitations for example how long their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can choose a good facility they prefer and speak with a treatment counselor to ascertain if their insurance will take care of it.
