Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anyone that should be safely managed through detox services when seriously addicted to drugs, or who needs a broader spectrum of care such as somebody who is dealing with a dual diagnosis and also needs mental health services during their rehab process. There are both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services offered.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be prone to alcoholism and drug abuse because of the problems their impairment impose on them. While discovery of the issue can sometimes be hard among the hearing impaired, there are ASL and other assistance services intended for them when drug abuse rehabilitation is needed. Apart from ASL, such services can include assistive listening equipment and captioned video materials so that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are receiving the help they need in drug rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when someone's insurance isn't going to pay for the total cost of rehab or will only pay for part of it. In these instances, it may seem like a disadvantage but people actually have a great deal of leverage simply because they can select whichever facility they would like without the limitations from health insurance providers that so many individuals encounter. In addition, rehab programs will often offer payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Some rehab programs will take Medicaid in the event the individual cannot self pay or present any other type of private health care insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term treatment in a limited amount of centers, and in such cases individuals may wish to investigate the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they can to fund a more quality rehabilitation center that will get better results, such as a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehabilitation at drug and alcohol treatment programs which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehab if the facility is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must assist in establishing the individual's treatment plan. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being exactly like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the expense of drug and alcohol treatment if other kinds of insurance or self payment aren't an option. If someone has no private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they might be eligible for state insurance, they should consult their Social Services office within their area to ascertain if they are and then apply. The majority of state financed insurance will take care of both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but typically only within the state which offers the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans typically cover some type of drug rehabilitation service ranging from outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug treatment facilities. Individuals may have to participate in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility which is in their network of providers and there can be other restrictions like how long their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can pick an excellent program they like and consult with a rehabilitation specialist to determine if their insurance will handle it.
