Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the lower end of the spectrum of rehabilitation solutions with regards to intensity of care, because the individual can maintain their lifestyle in lots of ways with no commitment of having to be in a treatment facility while undergoing rehab services. While this may appear ideal it might not provide the much needed change of surroundings than many people in rehab require to have a successful rehabilitation.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be predisposed to alcoholism and drug and alcohol use due to problems their impairment impose on them. While detection of the issue can be hard among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL and other assistance services readily available for them when drug abuse treatment is necessary. Other than ASL, such services may include assistive listening tools and captioned video materials to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired people are obtaining the support they need in drug rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when someone's insurance isn't going to cover the total cost of treatment or will only cover part of it. In these instances, it may appear like a drawback but individuals actually have a much more leverage because they can decide on whichever facility they would like without the restrictions from health insurance companies that so many individuals face. Likewise, treatment facilities will frequently provide payment assistance for people whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Certain rehabilitation programs will take Medicaid in the event the individual cannot self pay or present another form of private health insurance. Medicaid might pay for outpatient and short-term rehabilitation within a limited amount of programs, and in such cases individuals might want to investigate the self pay alternative and come up with up any resources they are able to to cover a more quality treatment facility that will get better results, like a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehab facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehabilitation at drug and alcohol rehab facilities which provide either inpatient or outpatient treatment when the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed physician, who must aid in establishing the individual's rehabilitation strategy. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being the same as any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the expense of drug rehabilitation if other forms of insurance or self payment are not an option. If a person has no private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they may qualify for state insurance, they should seek advice from their Social Services office within their area to determine if they are and then fill out an application. Most state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but generally only within the state which offers the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans typically cover some form of alcohol and drug rehab service ranging from outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab programs. Individuals could have to take part in a drug treatment program that's inside their network of providers and there can be other restrictions like how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can choose a quality center they prefer and speak with a rehabilitation specialist to ascertain if their insurance will take care of it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the costs of certain drug abuse rehab solutions. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient facilities along with partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization and in that case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare consultant. There might be some restrictions as to how long a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation is permitted, and all of these questions will be answered before you start treatment so that it is clear how much time and individual can stay in the treatment center of choice.
