Substance Abuse Treatment Services

Substance abuse treatment services are available in many different settings and with different rehabilitation lengths and plans to accommodate the various needs of clients with any kind of and level of addiction. With both long and short term and both inpatient and residential centers now being included in many insurance plans, there's no need to postpone receiving substance abuse treatment services for anybody who needs it.

Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the lower end of the spectrum of treatment solutions in terms of level of care, because the individual will be able to preserve their lifestyle in several ways with no commitment of needing to stay in a rehabilitation center while undergoing treatment services. Even if this may seem ideal it might not provide the much needed change of environment than a lot of people in rehabilitation require to have a productive rehab.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often prone to alcoholism and drug abuse due to challenges their impairment impose on them. While discovery of the issue can sometimes be hard among the hearing impaired, there are ASL and other assistance services readily available for them when substance abuse rehab is necessary. Apart from ASL, such services can sometimes include assistive listening equipment and captioned video resources to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired folks are getting the support they require in drug rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when someone's insurance won't pay for the total cost of rehab or will only pay for some of it. In these instances, it may appear like a disadvantage but people really have a much more leverage because they can choose whichever center they would like without the limitations from health insurers that so many people face. Likewise, rehab programs will usually provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Some rehabilitation centers accept Medicaid in the event the individual is not able to self pay or present some other kind of private health insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term rehab within a limited amount of programs, and in such cases individuals may want to explore the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they're able to to fund a more quality treatment center that will produce better results, like a long-term residential alcohol and drug treatment center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive treatment at drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation when the facility is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help in setting up the person's rehabilitation plan. Inpatient services are covered through Medicare Medicare Part A, with up front costs being similar to any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of drug and alcohol treatment if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't a choice. If a person doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they could be eligible for state insurance, they can seek advice from their Social Services office in their area to figure out if they are and then fill out an application. The majority of state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but usually only in the state which provides the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans generally cover some kind of drug rehabilitation service including outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers. Individuals could have to take part in a drug treatment program which is inside their network of providers and there may be other restrictions like just how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can pick a good facility they prefer and speak with a treatment specialist to find out if their insurance will take care of it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the expense of particular substance abuse rehabilitation solutions. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient centers in addition to partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization and in that case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There can be some limitations as to how much time a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug rehab is permitted, and all of these questions will be answered prior to starting rehab so that it's clear how long and individual can stay in the rehab facility of preference.
