Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anybody that needs to be safely managed through detoxification services when heavily dependent to drugs and alcohol, or who needs a better spectrum of care such as someone who is dealing with a dual diagnosis and also requires mental health services during their rehab procedure. There are both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services accessible.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often predisposed to alcoholism and drug and alcohol use as a result of problems that their impairment impose on them. While detection of the problem can be hard among the hearing impaired, you'll find ASL along with other assistance services designed for them when drug abuse rehabilitation is required. Aside from ASL, such services may include assistive listening equipment and captioned video materials so that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are getting the support they need in drug rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when someone's insurance won't pay for the total cost of rehabilitation or will only cover part of it. In these cases, it may seem like a drawback but people really have a much more leverage because they can choose whichever facility they would like without the limitations from health insurance providers that so many individuals face. Likewise, rehab programs will usually offer payment assistance for people whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into rehab.

Medicaid

Certain treatment centers accept Medicaid when the individual is not able to self pay or present any other form of private health insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term treatment inside a limited amount of facilities, and in such cases individuals may want to investigate the self pay option and come up with up any resources they are able to to cover a more quality treatment center that will produce better results, say for example a long-term residential drug rehab facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive treatment at drug and alcohol treatment centers which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment when the center is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed physician, who must aid in setting up the person's treatment strategy. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being just like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the expense of alcohol and drug rehab if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't a choice. When someone doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they could qualify for state insurance, they can seek advice from their Social Services office within their area to figure out if they are and then apply. The majority of state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but usually only inside the state which offers the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health care insurance plans generally cover some type of alcohol and drug treatment service ranging from outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab centers. Individuals could have to take part in a drug rehabilitation center that is inside their network of providers and there could be other restrictions like how long their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can pick a quality facility they prefer and consult with a rehabilitation counselor to determine if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the price of particular substance abuse rehab services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient facilities in addition to partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There could be some limitations as to how much time a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol rehab is allowed, and all of these questions can be answered before you begin treatment so that it is clear the length of time and individual can remain in the rehabilitation program of preference.
