Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anyone who has to be safely managed through detox services when seriously addicted to alcohol and drugs, or who needs a better spectrum of care such as somebody who has a dual diagnosis and also needs mental health services as part of their treatment procedure. There are both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services offered.

Seniors/Older Adults

Seniors and older adults who battle with drug use might have distinctive challenges they have to overcome during rehab, which treatment specialists in the rehab they choose to be a part of must be keen of to ensure that a complete recovery is achievable. So for seniors and older adults, it is prudent to decide on a center that's familiar with helping seniors and older adults deal with the distinctive life and drug use issues that these clients face which can include a wider spectrum of solutions including medical care and the like.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when someone's insurance won't pay for the entire cost of rehabilitation or will only pay for some of it. In these instances, it may appear like a disadvantage but individuals really have a great deal of leverage simply because they can choose whichever facility they want without the restrictions from health insurers that so many people face. In addition, rehabilitation centers will usually offer payment assistance for people whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into treatment.

Medicaid

Some rehab programs accept Medicaid if the individual cannot self pay or present another kind of private health care insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term treatment inside a limited amount of centers, and in this instance individuals may want to explore the self pay alternative and come up with up any resources they are able to to pay for a more quality rehabilitation center that will produce better results, such as a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehab facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive treatment at drug rehab facilities which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehab when the center is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the authorization of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help out with setting up the person's rehab plan. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being exactly like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the costs of drug rehab if other forms of insurance or self payment are not an option. If a person has no private insurance and doesn't yet know if they might qualify for state insurance, they can consult their Social Services office in their area to figure out if they are and then fill out an application. The majority of state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but typically only within the state which provides the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans generally cover some sort of drug and alcohol rehabilitation service including outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol treatment centers. Individuals may have to take part in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation program that's inside their network of providers and there could be other limitations such as how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can select an excellent program they prefer and speak with a treatment counselor to find out if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the price of particular drug abuse rehabilitation services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient programs as well as partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization and in that case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare consultant. There can be some limitations regarding the length of time a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol treatment is allowed, and all of these questions can be answered before beginning rehabilitation so that it is clear just how long and individual can stay in the treatment facility of preference.
