Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anybody who needs to be safely managed through detox services when heavily addicted to drugs and/or alcohol, or who wants a broader spectrum of care such as someone who has a dual diagnosis so also requires mental health solutions during their treatment process. You can find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services offered.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be prone to alcoholism and drug and alcohol use as a result of problems that their impairment impose on them. While discovery of this issue is often difficult among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL along with other assistance services available for them when drug abuse rehabilitation is required. Aside from ASL, such services may include assistive listening equipment and captioned video resources so that deaf and hearing impaired folks are receiving the support they require in drug rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when a person's insurance won't pay for the total cost of rehab or will only pay for some of it. In these situations, it may appear like a disadvantage but people in fact have a great deal of leverage simply because they can choose whichever center they want without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many people face. In addition, rehabilitation centers will usually offer payment assistance for people whose only choice is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Certain treatment centers will take Medicaid when the individual is unable to self pay or present another form of private health insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term rehabilitation inside a limited amount of centers, and in cases like this individuals may choose to investigate the self pay alternative and come up with up any resources they are able to to cover a more quality rehab facility which will produce better results, like a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive treatment at alcohol and drug rehabilitation facilities which provide either inpatient or outpatient treatment if the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must assist in establishing the person's rehabilitation strategy. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being similar to any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of drug rehab if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't a possibility. If someone has no private insurance and doesn't yet know if they might qualify for state insurance, they should check with their Social Services office within their area to figure out if they are and then fill out an application. Most state financed insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but typically only in the state which offers the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health insurance plans generally cover some form of drug rehabilitation service ranging from outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential drug treatment programs. Individuals could have to take part in an alcohol and drug treatment center which is within their network of providers and there may be other restrictions including how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can pick a good program they like and consult with a rehabilitation specialist to ascertain if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the expense of particular substance abuse rehabilitation services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient facilities and also partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization and in that case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There can be some limitations about the length of time a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug treatment is allowed, and all of these questions can be answered before beginning rehab so that it is clear how long and individual can remain in the rehab center of choice.
