Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the low end of the spectrum of rehab services with regards to intensity of care, as the individual is able to maintain their lifestyle in many ways without the commitment of needing to remain in a treatment center while receiving rehabilitation services. While this may appear ideal it will not provide the required change of atmosphere than a lot of people in rehabilitation need to experience a productive rehabilitation.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be predisposed to alcoholism and drug and alcohol use because of the challenges that their impairment impose on them. While discovery of this problem is often difficult among the hearing impaired, you will find ASL along with other assistance services readily available for them when drug abuse treatment is required. Besides ASL, such services may include assistive listening equipment and captioned video materials to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired people are receiving the support they need in alcohol and drug rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when a person's insurance won't cover the total cost of rehab or will only pay for part of it. In these cases, it may appear like a disadvantage but people really have a much more leverage simply because they can select whichever facility they want without the restrictions from health insurance companies that so many individuals encounter. Likewise, rehabilitation facilities will usually offer payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Some rehab facilities will take Medicaid if the individual is not able to self pay or present any other kind of private health insurance. Medicaid might pay for outpatient and short-term rehab inside a limited amount of centers, and in this case individuals may choose to explore the self pay option and come up with up any resources they can to fund a more quality rehab program that will get better results, like a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at drug and alcohol rehab facilities which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehab when the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed physician, who must assist in establishing the individual's rehab plan. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being the same as any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the costs of alcohol and drug rehabilitation if other forms of insurance or self payment are not a possibility. When someone doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they might be eligible for state insurance, they can seek advice from their Social Services office within their area to figure out if they are and then apply. The majority of state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but generally only in the state which provides the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans typically cover some sort of alcohol and drug treatment service ranging from outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential drug rehab centers. Individuals may have to take part in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility that's in their network of providers and there might be other restrictions for example the amount of time their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can pick an excellent facility they like and consult with a rehab specialist to ascertain if their insurance will take care of it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the price of certain substance abuse rehab services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient centers in addition to partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There can be some restrictions regarding how much time a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug rehabilitation is allowed, and every one of these questions will be answered before you start treatment so that it's clear how much time and individual can stay in the rehab center of preference.
