Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anyone that must be safely managed through detoxification services when intensely addicted to alcohol and drugs, or who wants a broader spectrum of care such as someone who is dealing with a dual diagnosis so also needs mental health services during their treatment procedure. There are both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services offered.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often prone to alcoholism and drug and alcohol use due to challenges that their impairment impose on them. While detection of this problem can be difficult among the hearing impaired, there are ASL along with other assistance services intended for them when substance abuse rehabilitation is necessary. Aside from ASL, such services can include assistive listening tools and captioned video resources to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired people are getting the support they require in alcohol and drug treatment.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when someone's insurance won't cover the entire cost of rehabilitation or will only pay for part of it. In these instances, it may seem like a drawback but individuals actually have a much more leverage simply because they can choose whichever center they would like without the limitations from health insurance providers that so many people face. In addition, rehabilitation programs will frequently offer payment assistance for people whose only choice is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Certain rehab centers will take Medicaid in the event the individual is unable to self pay or present any other form of private health insurance. Medicaid may possibly cover outpatient and short-term rehab inside a limited amount of facilities, and in this instance individuals might want to investigate the self pay option and drum up any resources they're able to to pay for a more quality rehab center which will get better results, such as a long-term residential drug rehab facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehabilitation at drug rehabilitation centers which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment if the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must aid in establishing the person's rehab strategy. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being similar to any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the costs of drug rehab if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't a possibility. When someone doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know if they could qualify for state insurance, they should talk with their Social Services office within their area to determine if they are and then fill out an application. The majority of state financed insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but usually only in the state which provides the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans generally cover some type of drug and alcohol treatment service which range from outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers. Individuals could possibly have to take part in a drug rehabilitation center which is inside their network of providers and there can be other restrictions like the length of time their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can select a good program they like and speak with a rehab counselor to determine if their insurance will handle it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the costs of certain drug abuse treatment solutions. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient programs along with partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There could be some restrictions concerning the length of time a stay in inpatient drug treatment is allowed, and every one of these questions can be answered before you begin rehab so that it's clear just how long and individual can remain in the rehabilitation facility of preference.
