Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anyone that needs to be safely managed through detox services when heavily addicted to drugs and alcohol, or who wants a broader spectrum of care such as someone who is dealing with a dual diagnosis and also needs mental health services as part of their rehab process. You will find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services available.

Seniors/Older Adults

Seniors and older adults who have trouble with substance abuse might have distinctive challenges they have to conquer when in treatment, which treatment professionals in the center they elect to be a part of have to be keen of so that a complete recovery is achievable. So for seniors and older adults, it is advisable to pick a center which is familiar with helping seniors and older adults handle the unique life and drug use issues that these clients face that might include a wider spectrum of services including health care and so on.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often predisposed to alcoholism and drug abuse as a result of problems their impairment impose on them. While discovery of this problem can be difficult among the hearing impaired, you will find ASL and other assistance services intended for them when drug abuse rehab is required. Other than ASL, such services can sometimes include assistive listening equipment and captioned video materials so that deaf and hearing impaired folks are receiving the support they require in drug rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when a person's insurance isn't going to pay for the total cost of treatment or will only pay for some of it. In these instances, it may seem like a disadvantage but people actually have a much more leverage due to the fact they can select whichever center they want without the restrictions from health insurers that so many individuals encounter. In addition, treatment centers will usually provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into rehab.

Medicaid

Some treatment facilities will take Medicaid if the individual cannot self pay or present any other form of private medical insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term rehab in a limited amount of programs, and in this instance individuals might want to explore the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they can to pay for a more quality rehabilitation facility that will produce better results, like a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehab program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek treatment at drug and alcohol rehab programs which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation if the center is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed physician, who must assist in establishing the person's rehab strategy. Inpatient services are covered through Medicare Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the expense of drug rehab if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not a possibility. If a person has no private insurance and doesn't yet know if they might be eligible for state insurance, they can consult their Social Services office in their area to ascertain if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but usually only in the state which provides the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans typically cover some form of drug treatment service which range from outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab facilities. Individuals may have to take part in a drug and alcohol rehab center that is inside their network of providers and there could be other restrictions including the length of time their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can choose an excellent program they like and meet with a rehab counselor to determine if their insurance covers it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the costs of certain substance abuse treatment services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient facilities in addition to partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization and in that case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There may be some limitations as to the length of time a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol rehab is permitted, and all of these questions can be answered before you start rehabilitation so that it's clear how long and individual can remain in the rehabilitation facility of choice.
