Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anyone that should be safely managed through detoxification services when seriously addicted to drugs, or who requires a better spectrum of care such as somebody who is dealing with a dual diagnosis and also requires mental health solutions as part of their rehab process. You'll find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services available.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often prone to alcoholism and substance abuse due to the challenges that their impairment impose on them. While discovery of the issue is often hard among the hearing impaired, there are ASL as well as other assistance services intended for them when substance abuse rehab is required. Aside from ASL, such services can sometimes include assistive listening tools and captioned video resources so that deaf and hearing impaired folks are getting the support they require in alcohol and drug treatment.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when someone's insurance isn't going to pay for the entire cost of treatment or will only cover part of it. In these situations, it may seem like a drawback but individuals really have a great deal of leverage simply because they can decide on whichever center they would like without the restrictions from health insurance companies that so many men and women face. Likewise, rehabilitation centers will usually provide payment assistance for people whose only option is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Certain rehab programs will take Medicaid in the event the individual cannot self pay or present some other form of private health insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term rehab inside a limited amount of centers, and in cases like this individuals may want to explore the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they are able to to pay for a more quality rehabilitation program which will produce better results, say for example a long-term residential drug rehabilitation facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehab at drug and alcohol treatment programs which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehab if the program is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed physician, who must assist in setting up the individual's rehab plan. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being exactly like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the expense of drug and alcohol treatment if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not an option. When someone doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they could qualify for state insurance, they should seek advice from their Social Services office in their area to ascertain if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but typically only inside the state which provides the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health care insurance plans generally cover some form of drug treatment service including outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs. Individuals could have to participate in an alcohol and drug rehab center which is inside their network of providers and there may be other restrictions such as the amount of time their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can pick a good program they like and speak with a rehab counselor to ascertain if their insurance covers it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the price of particular substance abuse rehabilitation services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient facilities in addition to partial hospitalization are covered by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There may be some restrictions concerning how much time a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug rehabilitation is allowed, and every one of these questions will be answered before you begin treatment so that it's clear how much time and individual can remain in the rehab facility of preference.
