Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the low end of the spectrum of rehabilitation services regarding level of care, because the individual is able to preserve their lifestyle in several ways without the commitment of having to remain in a treatment center while receiving treatment services. Even if this might seem ideal it might not provide the required change of atmosphere than lots of people in rehab need to experience a productive rehabilitation.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often predisposed to alcoholism and substance abuse due to the problems their impairment impose on them. While discovery of this issue can often be difficult among the hearing impaired, you will find ASL as well as other assistance services readily available for them when substance abuse rehab is necessary. Other than ASL, such services can sometimes include assistive listening tools and captioned video materials to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired folks are obtaining the help they need in drug rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when someone's insurance isn't going to pay for the entire cost of treatment or will only cover part of it. In these cases, it may appear like a drawback but people in fact have a great deal of leverage due to the fact they can choose whichever facility they would like without the restrictions from health insurers that so many people face. Likewise, rehabilitation facilities will usually offer payment assistance for people whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Some treatment centers accept Medicaid when the individual is not able to self pay or present some other type of private medical insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term treatment within a limited amount of centers, and in this instance individuals may wish to investigate the self pay alternative and come up with up any resources they can to cover a more quality treatment program that will produce better results, like a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehab at alcohol and drug rehabilitation facilities which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment if the center is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help out with setting up the individual's treatment strategy. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of drug rehabilitation if other forms of insurance or self payment are not a choice. When someone has no private insurance and doesn't yet know if they could qualify for state insurance, they should check with their Social Services office within their area to determine if they are and then apply. The majority of state financed insurance will take care of both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but typically only in the state which provides the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health care insurance plans typically cover some type of drug rehab service ranging from outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab programs. Individuals might have to participate in an alcohol and drug treatment facility that is in their network of providers and there might be other restrictions like the amount of time their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can select a good facility they like and meet with a rehab counselor to find out if their insurance will take care of it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the costs of particular drug abuse rehab solutions. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient facilities as well as partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization and in that case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There could be some limitations concerning the length of time a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug treatment is allowed, and all of these questions can be answered prior to starting treatment so that it is clear how much time and individual can remain in the rehabilitation facility of preference.

Sliding Fee Scale

A sliding fee scale can be a payment assistance option made available from a number of drug rehab centers to help help individuals afford rehab where this might not have been doable originally. For example, one client's price for rehabilitation may be different and less than someone else whose finances are better making them more prepared to pay for the full price of rehab. Registrars take into consideration other factors in addition to income including number of dependents to determine the final cost using the sliding scale.
