Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anybody that must be safely managed through detoxification services when heavily addicted to drugs and/or alcohol, or who requires a broader spectrum of care such as somebody who is dealing with a dual diagnosis and also requires mental health solutions during their rehab process. You can find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services available.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often predisposed to alcoholism and drug abuse because of the challenges their impairment impose on them. While discovery of the problem can often be difficult among the hearing impaired, you will find ASL as well as other assistance services designed for them when drug abuse rehabilitation is needed. Other than ASL, such services can include assistive listening equipment and captioned video resources so that deaf and hearing impaired people are obtaining the help they need in alcohol and drug rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when someone's insurance won't cover the total cost of rehabilitation or will only cover some of it. In these cases, it may appear like a disadvantage but individuals actually have a great deal of leverage due to the fact they can decide on whichever program they want without the limitations from health insurance providers that so many people face. Likewise, rehabilitation facilities will frequently offer payment assistance for people whose only option is self payment to help them get into rehab.

Medicaid

Certain rehab programs will take Medicaid in the event the individual is unable to self pay or present some other form of private medical health insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term rehabilitation inside a limited amount of facilities, and in this case individuals may wish to explore the self pay option and drum up any resources they can to fund a more quality rehab facility that will produce better results, like a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek treatment at drug and alcohol treatment programs which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehab when the center is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the authorization of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help in establishing the individual's rehab strategy. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being just like any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health care insurance plans typically cover some kind of drug rehabilitation service ranging from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol treatment centers. Individuals may have to participate in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center which is inside their network of providers and there may be other restrictions for example the length of time their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can select a good program they like and meet with a treatment counselor to find out if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the expense of particular substance abuse rehabilitation services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient centers and also partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There can be some restrictions concerning just how long a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug treatment is permitted, and every one of these questions can be answered prior to starting rehabilitation so that it's clear how much time and individual can remain in the treatment program of preference.
