Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anyone who must be safely managed through detoxification services when intensely addicted to drugs and alcohol, or who requires a better spectrum of care such as somebody who has a dual diagnosis and also needs mental health solutions during their treatment process. You will find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services accessible.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when a person's insurance won't cover the entire cost of rehab or will only pay for part of it. In these instances, it may seem like a drawback but individuals really have a much more leverage because they can decide on whichever facility they want without the limitations from health insurance providers that so many people encounter. In addition, treatment programs will often offer payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Some treatment programs accept Medicaid if the individual cannot self pay or present any other form of private medical insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term rehab within a limited amount of facilities, and in such cases individuals may want to explore the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they're able to to cover a more quality treatment center that will produce better results, such as a long-term residential drug rehabilitation program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehabilitation at drug and alcohol treatment facilities which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehab when the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must assist in setting up the person's treatment plan. Inpatient services are covered through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of drug rehabilitation if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't a possibility. If someone doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they may be eligible for state insurance, they should seek advice from their Social Services office in their area to figure out if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but typically only in the state which provides the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health insurance plans typically cover some sort of drug and alcohol rehabilitation service including outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug treatment programs. Individuals could have to take part in an alcohol and drug treatment center which is in their network of providers and there can be other limitations like how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can select an excellent center they like and speak with a rehabilitation counselor to find out if their insurance will handle it.
