Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anyone who needs to be safely managed through detoxification services when heavily addicted to drugs, or who needs a broader spectrum of care such as somebody who is dealing with a dual diagnosis and also needs mental health solutions as part of their treatment procedure. There are both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services accessible.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often prone to alcoholism and substance abuse as a result of problems that their impairment impose on them. While discovery of the problem can sometimes be difficult among the hearing impaired, there are ASL and other assistance services readily available for them when substance abuse treatment is needed. Apart from ASL, such services can sometimes include assistive listening tools and captioned video resources to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired people are obtaining the support they need in drug and alcohol rehab.

Spanish

Not all drug and alcohol rehab facilities possess the staff or resources to focus on the needs of Spanish speaking clients, but thankfully there are more and more centers that are able to do so because the necessity for Spanish services is higher than ever before. Therapy, study data and stuff like that are actually very often accessible in Spanish in both long and short terms programs which provide inpatient or residential rehab and outpatient Spanish rehab is available too around the country.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when someone's insurance won't pay for the entire cost of rehab or will only cover some of it. In these instances, it may seem like a drawback but individuals really have a much more leverage due to the fact they can select whichever program they would like without the restrictions from health insurance companies that so many men and women face. Likewise, rehab centers will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Some rehab facilities accept Medicaid in the event the individual is unable to self pay or present any other form of private medical insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term treatment in a limited amount of centers, and in cases like this individuals may want to investigate the self pay alternative and come up with up any resources they can to fund a more quality rehab program which will get better results, like a long-term residential drug and alcohol treatment center.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of drug and alcohol treatment if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not a choice. If someone doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know if they might be eligible for state insurance, they should check with their Social Services office within their area to figure out if they are and then fill out an application. Most state financed insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but generally only within the state which provides the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health care insurance plans typically cover some sort of alcohol and drug treatment service which range from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug treatment facilities. Individuals may have to take part in a drug treatment facility that is in their network of providers and there could be other limitations such as just how long their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can pick a good program they prefer and meet with a rehab counselor to ascertain if their insurance will handle it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the costs of particular drug abuse rehab services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient programs along with partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare consultant. There may be some restrictions about how much time a stay in inpatient drug treatment is allowed, and all of these questions will be answered before you begin treatment so that it is clear just how long and individual can stay in the treatment facility of choice.
