Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anyone who must be safely managed through detoxification services when intensely addicted to alcohol and drugs, or who needs a better spectrum of care such as someone who is dealing with a dual diagnosis so also requires mental health services as part of their rehab process. You can find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services accessible.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often prone to alcoholism and drug and alcohol use due to challenges that their impairment impose on them. While discovery of the issue can sometimes be hard among the hearing impaired, there are ASL as well as other assistance services readily available for them when substance abuse treatment is needed. Aside from ASL, such services can include assistive listening equipment and captioned video resources to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired people are getting the support they require in drug treatment.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when someone's insurance won't pay for the total cost of rehabilitation or will only pay for some of it. In these situations, it may appear like a drawback but people in fact have a much more leverage due to the fact they can decide on whichever center they want without the limitations from health insurers that so many individuals encounter. In addition, treatment facilities will usually provide payment assistance for people whose only choice is self payment to help them get into rehab.

Medicaid

Some rehabilitation centers accept Medicaid when the individual cannot self pay or present some other kind of private health care insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term treatment in a limited amount of programs, and in this case individuals may want to explore the self pay option and drum up any resources they're able to to fund a more quality treatment center that will produce better results, such as a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehab center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehab at drug and alcohol treatment facilities which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation if the center is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must aid in setting up the person's rehabilitation strategy. Inpatient services are covered through Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being the same as any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health insurance plans typically cover some type of alcohol and drug treatment service which range from outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers. Individuals may have to take part in a drug and alcohol rehab facility which is inside their network of providers and there could be other limitations like the length of time their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can choose a quality program they prefer and meet with a rehab counselor to find out if their insurance will take care of it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the price of certain drug abuse treatment services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient programs as well as partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There may be some limitations about just how long a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol treatment is allowed, and all of these questions can be answered before you start treatment so that it is clear how much time and individual can stay in the rehab facility of choice.
