Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the bottom end of the spectrum of rehabilitation solutions regarding intensity of care, since the individual will be able to keep their lifestyle in many ways with no commitment of needing to stay in a rehabilitation center while undergoing rehabilitation services. Even if this may appear ideal it may not provide the much needed change of surroundings than a lot of people in rehab need to have a productive rehab.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often predisposed to alcoholism and drug abuse because of the problems their impairment impose on them. While discovery of the problem can sometimes be hard among the hearing impaired, there are ASL as well as other assistance services intended for them when drug abuse rehabilitation is required. Aside from ASL, such services might include assistive listening equipment and captioned video resources to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired folks are receiving the help they require in drug and alcohol rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when someone's insurance won't cover the total cost of treatment or will only cover part of it. In these instances, it may appear like a drawback but people in fact have a much more leverage simply because they can decide on whichever center they want without the limitations from health insurers that so many people encounter. Likewise, rehabilitation programs will frequently provide payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to enable them to get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Some rehab programs accept Medicaid if the individual is not able to self pay or present any other type of private health care insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term rehab inside a limited amount of facilities, and in such cases individuals may wish to investigate the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they can to fund a more quality rehabilitation program which will produce better results, such as a long-term residential alcohol and drug treatment center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at drug treatment programs which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehab if the program is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the authorization of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must assist in establishing the individual's rehabilitation strategy. Inpatient services are covered through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being exactly like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health insurance plans typically cover some kind of drug and alcohol rehab service including outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab facilities. Individuals could have to take part in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility that's in their network of providers and there might be other limitations like how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can choose a quality center they prefer and consult with a treatment counselor to find out if their insurance will take care of it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the expense of particular drug abuse treatment services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient centers as well as partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There could be some restrictions regarding how long a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation is permitted, and all of these questions will be answered prior to starting treatment so that it's clear how much time and individual can remain in the rehab facility of choice.

Sliding Fee Scale

A sliding fee scale can be a payment assistance option offered by a number of alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers in an effort to help individuals pay for rehabilitation where this might not have been possible originally. For example, one client's fee for rehabilitation could be different and another person whose financial situation is better making them more prepared to pay the full price of rehab. Registrars consider additional factors aside from income including amount of dependents to determine the final cost using the sliding scale.
