Other than ASL, such services might include assistive listening equipment and captioned video materials so that deaf and hearing impaired folks are obtaining the support they need in drug rehab.

Spanish

Not all alcohol and drug treatment facilities possess the staff or wherewithal to cater to the needs of Spanish speaking clientele, but thankfully there are more and more facilities that will do so because the need for Spanish services is higher than in the past. Counselling, study information and so on are now frequently available in Spanish in both long and short terms centers which deliver inpatient or residential rehabilitation and outpatient Spanish treatment is also available nationwide.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when a person's insurance isn't going to pay for the total cost of rehabilitation or will only cover part of it. In these cases, it may seem like a disadvantage but people in fact have a much more leverage simply because they can decide on whichever facility they would like without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many individuals encounter. In addition, rehabilitation programs will usually provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into rehab.

Medicaid

Certain rehabilitation programs will take Medicaid if the individual is unable to self pay or present any other form of private medical health insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term rehabilitation in a limited amount of centers, and in cases like this individuals may wish to explore the self pay option and come up with up any resources they're able to to fund a more quality rehabilitation facility that will get better results, such as a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehab facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehabilitation at alcohol and drug treatment programs which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment if the program is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the authorization of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help in establishing the individual's treatment strategy. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Medicare Part A, with up front costs being exactly like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being covered through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of drug and alcohol rehab if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not an option. When someone does not have any private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they could be eligible for state insurance, they can talk with their Social Services office within their area to figure out if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but usually only in the state which provides the insurance coverage.
