You will find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services available.

Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the low end of the spectrum of treatment services with regards to level of care, since the individual will be able to preserve their lifestyle in lots of ways with no commitment of having to stay in a treatment program while receiving treatment services. Even though this may appear ideal it will not provide the required change of atmosphere than lots of people in rehab need to experience a successful rehabilitation.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be prone to alcoholism and substance abuse due to the challenges that their impairment impose on them. While detection of the issue can sometimes be hard among the hearing impaired, you will find ASL and other assistance services available for them when drug abuse treatment is required. Besides ASL, such services can include assistive listening tools and captioned video resources to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are receiving the help they require in drug treatment.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance isn't going to pay for the entire cost of rehabilitation or will only cover part of it. In these instances, it may seem like a disadvantage but people in fact have a great deal of leverage due to the fact they can choose whichever center they want without the limitations from health insurers that so many men and women face. In addition, rehabilitation centers will usually provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into rehab.

Medicaid

Certain rehabilitation programs will take Medicaid in the event the individual cannot self pay or present another type of private medical insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term rehab inside a limited amount of centers, and in this instance individuals may wish to investigate the self pay option and come up with up any resources they are able to to cover a more quality rehabilitation facility which will produce better results, say for example a long-term residential drug treatment facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehabilitation at drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation if the program is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed physician, who must aid in establishing the person's treatment strategy. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being covered through Medicare Part B.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health insurance plans typically cover some sort of drug and alcohol rehabilitation service including outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol treatment centers. Individuals may have to participate in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program which is in their network of providers and there might be other restrictions for example the length of time their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can choose a quality facility they like and speak with a rehabilitation specialist to ascertain if their insurance covers it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the expenses of certain drug abuse rehab services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient centers in addition to partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization and in that case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There may be some restrictions regarding how much time a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug treatment is permitted, and all of these questions will be answered before you start rehab so that it's clear how much time and individual can remain in the rehabilitation facility of choice.
